Introduction

My name is Kendra Bailey and I was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina. My husband is also from Spartanburg, and we have been married for three years. We built our dream house exactly one year ago in Boiling Springs, SC. We live there with our two furbabies. Kady is a miniature American Eskimo and Aaryn is a Shihpoo. They are beyond rotten, and it's obvious as soon as you walk into our house!

This will be my fourth year teaching third graders in the nearby town of Chesnee. It is a rural, Title I elementary school. I absolutely love teaching third grade!

Before I got a teaching job, I was a computer lab teacher for a year. I enjoyed the computer lab, which sparked my interest to get my Master's degree in Educational Technology. I am getting my specialization in Emerging Technologies, and am excited to announce that this is my very last class before graduating!

    Congrats! It is exciting to be so close to the end. I did my student teaching in 3rd grade and it was a great experience. I have taught 2nd grade for 3 years and it is probably my favorite. Well hope you have a great 8 weeks.

    So many Carolina folks! Well, two (so far), between you and Hannah. It's nice to see you in a class with me again, Kendra. I echo what Daisha said, congrats on getting to the end (I have two more after this).

    Though we didn't build it, we just closed on a dream house two months ago on Cape Cod. It's an oldie but a goodie- 1795 build. Some folks shy away from old homes, but if it's been standing this long, that means good bones. Lately, I've been painting the interior inch by inch.
